Borsting Laboratories offers low-cost dermatopathological interpretation of your slides performed by Leon M. Edelstein, M.D., FASCP, FCAP, of the American West Skin Pathology Consultation Service. Dr. Edelstein has more than 40 years experience in the field of pathology and dermatopathology, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is currently on the faculty of the University of California Medical School at Davis. You may take advantage of this service for any or all of your biopsy specimens.

We will provide your office with the Consultation Service form which must be completed and sent together with your biopsy specimen. We will forward the slide together with your Consultation Service form to Dr. Edelstein who will telephone and fax your office with the microscopic interpretation. In addition, a permanent copy of the report will be sent to your office a few days later. The charge for this service is $25.00 per case and will be billed by the American West Skin Pathology Consultation Service directly to your office.
